Employment type: Permanent Employment after 3 month probation.
Hours: Part Time, 15 hours per week, flexible working with hours spread over 3 to 4 days.
Location: The Rookery, Streatham Common South, London, SW16 3BZ.
Salary: £28,000 p/a (pro rata to £11,200 for 15 hours p/w), 25 days paid holiday in addition to public holidays. Pension: contributions matched up to 4%

The Streatham Common Co-operative (SCCoop) is a pioneer under the London Borough of Lambeth’s Co-operative Parks Programme, currently managing the Rookery, the nearby Paddling Pool, and conservation work on Streatham Common. SCCoop is working towards taking on more management and maintenance of Streatham Common.
SCCoop, is a local co-operative (not-for-profit social enterprise) and works across traditional service boundaries to provide improved services, increase staffing levels, generate additional income, build community partnerships, support volunteering and skills development. SCCoop also aims to deliver other social value benefits for social care and disability, reduce crime and achieve a better balance between biodiversity conservation and recreational use.
Streatham Common is a large open space at the southern tip of Lambeth. It offers amazing views and has areas of woodland, grassland, wild flower meadows and a picnic area. It also contains The Rookery, a small and enchanting formal garden. The entire Common and the Rookery gardens lie within the Streatham Common Conservation Area and Metropolitan Open Land. The Rookery is registered as a Grade II Garden of Historic Importance.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with a demonstrable track record of delivering a broad range of administrative duties including taking on the role of Company Secretary, managing the finance system, providing general admin for our operational work in the Rookery and supporting our communications and external fundraising activities.
You will be a key member of SCCoop staff and need to be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision and be at ease communicating with colleagues internally and a wide range of external partners and stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational skills and be systematic in your approach to maintaining the financial system with specific focus on accurate recording of data on the sales and purchase ledger. Although an advantage, it is not critical to have a formal book keeping qualification but it is essential to demonstrate substantive experience of a maintaining financial records.
